I am so excited to finally share with you guys my messy bun tutorial! I’ve gotten so many comments and questions on it I figured it was about time for a tutorial! It is a really easy hairstyle you can do in 1-2 minutes. Using a thick hair tie is one of the biggest tricks especially if you have a lot of hair. Your messy bun will hold a lot better and keep it’s shape. Also keep in mind, no two messy buns are the same, sometimes I get mine on the first try and other times it takes two or three tries for it to flow right. Watch the video below for my step by step. I would love to see your messy buns! Email me a pic or tag me in your photos! I can’t wait to see 🙂 If you still have any questions about how to do it still let me know in the comments below! Thanks so much for watching!

Christine,
Thanks for sharing this wonderful tutorial! I’ve been a big fan of the way you style your messy buns for a while. I often use a clip because it seems to hold my hair in place and doesn’t give me creases in my hair when I take the style down, but I haven’t been able to get the volume I see with yours. I can’t wait to try out your technique tomorrow. So simple! Thanks for posting. 🙂

Thank you, Christine! I love your messy buns – will definitely follow your instructions and try this. Do you still wear the clip-in extensions or have you had permanent ones put in? My hair is still somewhat short and I would like to add my clip-in ones for volume when doing this but am afraid they may not stay on. Thanks!

Messy bun all the way! I use a similar method for my curly hair. Easy peesy!

Thanks for this:) I always have a hard time with a messy bun, mostly because my hair isn’t very thick. It usually falls out. But I think I will try your method, see if my hair will stay.
Thanks!

What product did you use to get all that great texture in your hair? I think that would be the key for me! Thanks so much

Does your hair have to be a certain length? I noticed I have pretty long hair and mine definetly didn’t end up how I pictured
