Live updates: 2024 Women's College World Series (2)Oklahoma won the 2024 Big 12 title over Texas (5-1) in their last meeting on May 11, 2024.

The Red River Rivalry will play out on the biggest stage of college softball June 5-6/7 as Oklahoma and Texas face off in the 2024 WCWS final. This matchup is the second time in two decades that the top two seeds are in the WCWS final. This will be the teams' fifth matchup this year β€” they're both 2-2 against each other in 2024, with Texas taking the regular season series 2-1 and OU sniping the Big 12 title in May.

Jayda Coleman's walk-off homer sends Oklahoma back to WCWS finals

Oklahoma is headed to its seventh WCWS finals in eight seasons with a walk-off home run by senior Jayda Coleman. In a 2-1 count, Coleman swatted the ball over the left field wall for the win over Florida, 6-5. Oklahoma's win sets up the Red River Rivalry as the Sooners face Texas in the championship final at 8 p.m. ET tomorrow.

The Longhorns eliminate Stanford in a goose chase for home plate.

With two runners in scoring position and no outs in the 7th, Ashton Maloney bunted the ball to the circle. In a 1-2-5 play, baserunner Alyssa Washington was caught at third base and raced home with third base player River Mahler running after her with the ball for the tag. Mahler underhanded the ball to Ava Gall (C) as Washington slid face-first to home plate, just in time. The Longhorns advance to their second WCWS finals in three years with a 1-0 win over Stanford in the semis.

Aces NiJaree Canady and Teagan Kavan each totaled seven strikeouts in tonight's pitching showcase.
